OUR PURPOSE
The North Edgebrook Civic Association (NECA) began with one main goal – supplemental snow removal – because we know winters in Chicago can be challenging!! When NECA was established there were no snow plow services on our side streets. We have come a long way developing relationships to hire private contractors to plow our streets curb-to-curb after 2 inches of snowfall. This is only part of what membership dues cover, however.
While snow removal has always been our major expense, NECA dues also pay for community activities, neighborhood representation and maintenance, like our distinctive “Welcome to North Edgebrook“ signs located throughout our neighborhood.
The North Edgebrook Civic Association is your voice regarding concerns affecting our neighborhood. Our NECA officers actively work with various governmental and other agencies including our alderman, the Chicago Park District, Chicago Police Department, schools, and local zoning advisory board as part of our neighborhood advocacy on behalf of YOU!
